Typical prices
Ranges, not quotes. A price depends on your dog.

| Full groom, small dog (9 prices) | £40 to £46 |
| Full groom, medium dog (6 prices) | £45 to £53 |
| Full groom, large dog (6 prices) | £50 to £62 |

| Call-out fee, one groomer | £10 a booking |
Each figure is the middle half of published mobile prices, checked October 2026, and rests on a small sample of 16 mobile groomers. On these figures a mobile full groom costs about the same as a salon one, while a nail clip on its own costs a little more from a van, because the groomer still drives to you.
What moves the price
- Size and coat. As at a salon, the price is set by size or breed, and doodles and long coats cost more than smooth coats.
- Travel and area. Two of the 16 mobile groomers in the data publish a separate fee: £10 on every booking at one, £40 to £60 by distance for a home visit at the other. Others build travel into the price within their area.
- Several dogs at one address. Some mobile groomers set a separate price for a second dog at the same address, so ask when booking two.
- Water and power. A van that runs from your socket and tap costs the groomer less to run than one carrying a generator, but prices rarely show the difference.
- Large breeds. Some vans do not take giant breeds at all, and only 3 published mobile prices are for a giant dog, too few to give a range.

Questions about mobile dog grooming
How long does a mobile dog groom take?
About one and a half to three hours, depending on size and coat. The groomer works on one dog at a time, so the time is mostly the groom itself rather than waiting.
Do mobile dog groomers come in the rain?
Yes. The groom happens inside the van, which has its own heating and lighting, so weather mostly matters for parking and getting the dog to and from the door.
